Reporting to the Manager, Early Intervention, the psychometrist will assist in the psychological assessment of clients.

Your key areas of responsibility include: 

•	To administer and score individual psychometric.
•	To assess a client’s functioning in the testing process.
•	To interpret and communicate specific test results related to aptitudes and interests.
•	To complete reports following program guidelines and procedures.
•	To maintain confidential files and inventory of psychological tests according to appropriate regulations and standards
•	To participate in the quality assurance, risk management, utilization review and health and safety activities of the program.
•	To participate in staff development and continuing education.
•	To comply with, acknowledge and, where applicable, enforce safety management directives, procedures, and safe work practices. To take every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of fellow employees. Such precautions may include orientation, instruction, training, identification and resolution of health & safety deficiencies.
•	To assist the Program in achieving the objectives towards the vision, mission, values, strategic plan and goals.
•	To promote a high quality of performance by providing client centered services through continued improvement in policies, procedures and programs.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

•	A university degree with a major or honours in psychology, including course work in psychological testing.
•	Three to five years of related experience.
•	Certification, training or courses in administering, scoring and writing reports based on the results of the General Aptitude Test Battery will also be considered an asset.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and spoken competence in French are required.

Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings. For these reasons, working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or country, is not permissible. 

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.

Pay Scale $62,801.89 to $73,884.86

Benefits include vacation, sick time and the New Brunswick Public Service Pension Plan.
